INVISIBLE SLUM

This project transforms the former Miyajima Elementary School in the Shimajiri district of Miyakojima, Okinawa, into a community hub that supports people in continuing to live in the place they call home. As the area faces population decline and an aging population, local residents are working with newcomers, professionals, and students to create a place for community activities and exchange.
